Our American
Legion program operates at two levels. The Senior Legion team is
designed for boys ages 15-18. It is formed by tryouts. The team
competes in the River section of the American Legion program. Home
games are played at North Allegheny High School. The team will play
a 24-game schedule; compete in several tournaments, playoffs and the
Legion All-Star game.
The Junior Legion
team is designed for boys 13-15. It is formed by tryouts. The team
is primarily for 15-year-olds, but 13 and 14-year-olds can try out
for the team as well, since there is a limit on the number of
15-year-olds per team. This is a relatively young program, only in
operation four years, and grows every year. Home games are played at
North Allegheny High School and North Allegheny Intermediate. The
team will play an 18-20 game schedule; compete in several
tournaments, playoffs, and the Junior Legion All-Star Game. If there
is interest, it is possible to form two Junior Legion teams.
The Colt program
is designed for boys 15-16. The teams play in the Federation Colt
League. Home games are played at North Allegheny High School and
North Allegheny Intermediate. We will form a 16-year-old traveling
team, one or two 15-year-old traveling teams, and other teams as
interest allows. The teams will be classified into different
competitive divisions within the Federation League.
There are also
other opportunities for 17-19 year olds to play in either the
Palomino League or Guyasuta League.
