GET INVOLVED - SNACK SHACKS

IFPAA 2017 Blueberry and Vestal Snack Shacks Substitution Workers

IFPAA provides an opportunity for parents scheduled for the Snack Shack to call for substitute workers.  The standard fee is $15.00 per game.  Some parents choose to pay more, especially for opening and closing two-hour shifts, until replacement workers arrive, or the coach locks the Snack Shack.  Snack Shack workers must be at least 13-years of age.  When not busy, substitute workers are required to stock the coolers and shelves with drinks and product.  No one under 13-years of age are permitted in the Snack Shack.

The Snack Shack managers and IFPAA Board members will monitor the operations.

The IFPAA Board has required that substitute workers attend one of the scheduled training sessions listed below.  This year workers need only attend one session to work in both Snack Shacks.  They will be required to sign a certification form that they attended the session.  The volunteer who creates the substitution list will only enter the contact information after certification for the training is received.

IMPORTANT - SNACK SHACK PROCEDURES
Posted: 03/05/17

Here are a couple of important rules regarding the running the Snack Shack that will help avoid some of the problems that we have seen in the past:

1 - Parents can work the Snack Shack without training (there are written signs, etc.).

2 - Untrained siblings under the age of 18 CANNOT work in the Snack Shack!

3 - No children under the age of 18 should be in the Snack Shack unless they are Trained Substitutes and currently certified. This is for the safety and security of everyone involved, and is in compliance with IFPAA insurance.

We know that complying with these rules can be inconvenient at times, but they have been put in place to protect all of our kids at all times.  Our Snack Shack proceeds allow us to invest in our community fields so that your children always have great fields to play on.

Thanks again for your support and compliance with these procedures,

IFPAA Board of Directors

Below are the official Snack Shack Rules and Certification Forms that pertain to the Blueberry and Vestal Snack Shacks.

TO ALL SNACK SHACK WORKERS,
Posted: 03/05/17

2017 UPDATE:  All workers, even those on last years list, will need to attend one training session to be on this years list.

All who have expressed an interest in working at the Snack Shack at Blueberry, Vestal, or both are required to attend one of the training sessions listed below.  You are required to sign a Certification Form that states you have attended the session.  Your name and contact information (after certification) will be entered on the Snack Shack Substitution List.

If you want on both (separate) lists; you need only attend the training session at the Blueberry Snack Shack.

Thanks for your help,
Dawn Crean
